Alice Agnes is a non-binary, queer disc jock and producer, co-founder of the Poneke-based Practice and a volunteer DJ for Radio Active.

A regular at Club 121, Laundry and Valhalla and festivals/events around Aotearoa, Alice is a House music-lover and Techno addict with broad and eclectic tastes. They love to read the room, draw dancers in and build trust with some familiarity, and then take you on a journey you didn't know you wanted. 

Jade has been a clubber and a DJ for going on 12 years. She has been lucky enough to enjoy music and play around Aotearoa, Australia, UK and Ibiza.

Recently Jade's tastes have gravitated towards Tech House and House music. She enjoys music that's energetic, melodic, bassy and with a cheeky vocal here and there.

Jade is excited to be performing at her very first Taniwha's Den in 2023 After returning to music and doing what she absolutely loves. She'll be on the dance floor at every opportunity so make sure to say hi!

Moving in the shadows of the Wellington underground, Minilektro is building a reputation as a sublime selector. AKA Testha Heiko, Minilektro has  graced the stage at Taniwha's Den before and played Limbic Resonance, Substance and Twisted Frequency.

Minilektro draws inspiration from the 80s, the remainders of disco, synths, EDM, industrial sounds and the minimal sounds of Berlin-style Techno.

This leads to an eclectic mix of electro techno that gets the bodies moving and the minds entertained.

Sandrita has been deeply lost in electronic music even before she started to work for big clubs in Madrid at the age of 16 (2001). She is an engaged dancer and her main focus is to give people frequencies to connect with themselves and the world around us.

Her chameleonic style will make your body move sweetly on the downtempo waves, or swiftly in hard techno raves. Listen for the magic in the things inbetween.

Sandrita has an old style with varied taste and her sets are never linear. Acid, Electro and happy beats will take you on a Techno journey.

Originating from Edmonton, Canada, Sinclair (aka Simon) moved to Aotearoa in the late 90's. Starting on local radio in his hometown of Queenstown in 2001, his style has moved between house and techno before settling in disco, nudisco and deep house.

Where other DJs tend to throw epic build after epic build, a Sinclair set will build steadily through a tightly woven musical tapestry, often bringing a party to its peak at 117bpm.

Simon holds a weekly residency in Queenstown at Sundeck, and plays regular sets at various bars and festivals throughout the country.

What began as a personal challenge of mixing two songs every day for 100 days in a row turned into an unexpectedly public creative outlet for Tina Mairi.

Highly regarded wāhine of underground house and techno with a singular sound, Tina's thoughtful preparation meets the real time energy of every person on the dance floor to create a uniquely spontaneous and joyful experience.

Vasili is a master of genre switching. But despite his ability to push through sound and structural boundaries, Vasili's atmospheric soundscapes curate a seamless auditory path.

His music is featured and BBC TRT world and MSN/Time Inc documentaries and a number of independent films.

Vasili grew up in Athens, Greece and has lived in New Zealand for the past 20 years. There was an intervening stint in London, where his second contemporary classical album Katharsis was recorded and mixed.

This guy is an accomplished DJ and we look forward to experiencing what he brings to the den

Live drums, tech house, tribal rhythms and vocals create an energetic visual and aural experience.

Kelvin Penetana, a musician/producer from Ōtautahi  Christchurch, blends his love of drumming, poly rhythms, EDM and songwriting in this flavoursome project.
